Interview with Russell Thomas – Star Tenor of the COC’s ‘Tales of Hoffman’

The Canadian Opera Company‘s quirky and gothic production of Jacques Offenbach’s imaginative and bohemian opera, The Tales of Hoffman, opened recently and we had a chance to speak with its star, Russell Thomas. Here is Russell with his thoughts on his colourful titular role, as well as his candid and anything but candy coated opinions on the implications of being a non-caucasian male opera singer and the cost of a successful career as a performing artist.
