Immersive theatre is not entirely new, but with the much lauded Sleep No More continuing to extend its successful run in the Big Apple, and local projects like the multi-part Bylogyc making their mark, the sub-genre is making its presence felt.
Another intriguing and already successful series taking the audience experience to the next level is 360 Screenings. Created by Ned Loach and Robert Gontier (who drew inspiration from similar projects they discovered while travelling in Europe), 360 Screenings is one part theatre, one part cinema, one part cocktail party – with a little dash of guessing game thrown in for good measure.
